When you’re truly connected to yourself, set your bounderies, you may lose people that you think are important. I know I did. But through my healing I focused on practicing the believe that what mattered is that I was connected to myself and loved myself and the rest will fall into place. I believed with my whole heart, and still do, that by being connected with myself, the right people, the people that love me for who I really am and respect my space, care for my well-being will come along and they did, like my loving husband @the_kind_shepherd . It takes work, it takes practice and there will be ups and downs but it works. It’s not your job to be likable and people please, neglect your needs in favor of others. This may lead you to find a partner but if your needs aren’t met what’s the point? Are you still people pleasing or choosing yourself?
If you truly want to be in a healthy relationship stop for a second and think, how’s the relationship with yourself? Are you kind and loving to yourself? do you believe in yourself? Do you listen to your own needs? I know I didn’t, people pleaser and toxic empath by nature I kept repeating the same unhealthy patterns until I fell for abuse and said ok theres something for me to work on.
Yes that was me! 🙋🏻‍♀️😂! And probably YOU! 🤭Today I received an email from a client that reminded me of this. She said since she understood he’s a narcissist she’s obsessed with reading about the subject and learning their behavior and patterns to the point that she’s now able to anticipate his moves and said she now sees them as almost “mathematical”! Which is very true! When I was with my ex I thought he was the most unpredictable person ever! After I learned about NPD I could see how “boring” and “text book” he is. That’s another reason why I strongly believe the more you educate yourself on the subject the better, you’ll feel more in control and less crazy (you know exactly what I’m talking about). What are some weird behavior your Narcissist showed that you see now are text book actions? Tell me in the comments.
Do you feel like you struggle with having healthy relationship? I invite you to look at the relationship you have with yourself. If you’re not sure how or how to work on it, let me help you. DM me.
Me and @corissastepp had a wonderful conversation about my Healing from Narcissistic Abuse and finding love again for her Podcast. Time flew by as we covered very important topics, see below 👇🏻
